To be what the group needs, gamers need to get the best feats that Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has to offer. Better weapons and gear will help, certainly, but they can’t replace the ways that feats can fundamentally change the game for the character.
Level 5 Feat
Players will have to choose a style early for the Skullbreaker. After taking in all the feats, the build seems to be one that focuses on boss fights; the toughest encounters in the game. A Preacher with good feats might be able to go toe-to-toe in melee damage, but the Ogryn can be the better tank.
Smash ‘Em Good! replenishes toughness with each heavy melee hit against a single foe. Since heavy melee hits only tend to target single units, Best Form of Defence… is unnecessary and Lynchpin is too general for the purposes of the build.
Level 10 Feat
The Skullbreaker is among the best operatives but only when built correctly. Heavyweight offers eye-popping damage but only against select enemies. Bombs Away! has drawn the ire of the community and what counts as “carapace” is very limited.

Unlimited stacks of bleed add up, especially against bosses. Once the boss hits half health, if the player has been smashing them with heavy attacks, they will drop in a matter of seconds. Speeding up these fights greatly improves the odds of survival on tougher difficulties.
Level 15 Feat
The best feats for a Sharpshooter can make them damage machines. For the Skullbreaker to keep up, they’ll need feats like Bullfighter, allowing them to use their Bull Rusha active ability more often. This stacks bleed damage on top of other applied bleed damage.
Lead the Charge could offer a 100% movement speed boost for ten seconds and it still wouldn’t be worth it. And while the coherency zone on every operative is on the small side, Towering Presence only works for the Ogryn’s aura and not the whole team, otherwise it would be worth considering.
Level 20 Feat
All three of the selections are tanking feats, but two can be ruled out immediately. Hard as Nails only works if the team is getting knocked out. This is a rare occurrence when players who haven’t earned enough Aquilas for better gear try to play on higher difficulties. Die Hard only works when the Skullbreaker is on death’s door.

Bloodthirst, in conjunction with Bullfighter, can give players a 50% damage resistance regularly. After charging into the fight, players will especially rely on the extra damage reduction. Although the Skullbreaker is most effective against bosses, Bloodthirst allows it to tank against hordes.
Level 25 Feat
Payback Time helps out with damage against bosses when the Skullbreaker is tanking, but often bosses change targets on a whim, so this isn’t dependable damage. Raging Bull is a solid feat for clearing hordes out, but without cleaving, it’s often hard to hit multiple enemies at once.
Knife Through Butter ironically would work well with Raging Bull, but players can only choose one or the other. The edge goes to Knife Through Butter because it stacks with Blood & Thunder, giving bleed damage to however many melee targets are in range. Even a wisely built Psykinetic would have to marvel at the damage over time statistics.
Level 30 Feat
As with the other operatives, the final feat choice has everything to do with the active ability. Non-Stop Violence gives players some toughness after they charge in, but players usually need the toughness after they charge in and while they’re getting hit. Unstoppable is a good choice for pure horde damage dealers.
Bull Gore takes the cake as the blees stacks work well with so many of the prior feats. With this amount of blees damage taken, gamers will hardly need to equip better gear or cosmetics to deal with groups. After charging in, everyone hit will likely bleed out.
