RELATED: Warframe: Best Characters In The Game, Ranked
Suffice it to say, there are many methods of making Platinum, which is the premium currency of Warframe. The easiest and most available ones require players to play the game to exhaustion while the riskiest can make them feel like some shady stockbroker or scalper. However, in the name of fashion-framing and min-maxing, all methods are valid for any prophet of profit.
Updated January 13, 2023 by Sid Natividad:Warframe is still going strong thanks to dedicated developers and a robust fanbase. There are still tons of players logging in each and every day to farm as many materials as possible and with new Warframes constantly being added to the game, it doesn’t seem like Warframe will be slowing down anytime soon.
Any new players joining the looter shooter in 2023 will definitely want to know how to get Platinum in Warframe. Platinum is a premium resource that can be used for a variety of things like boosters, cosmetic items, and even pre-made Warframes. Knowing how to get Platinum in Warframe can help players look and feel their best while grinding through enemies. The following list has been updated to offer even more ideas to gain Warframe Platinum.
As usual, there’s no shortage of ways to earn the coveted premium currency in Warframe. Players both new and returning will do well to check out and try some of these Warframe Platinum earning methods.
18 Rare Mod Farmer
Each new update in Warframe that adds weapons and mods is a great opportunity for anyone to make some Platinum. The latest rare or uncommon mods — or even stances, in particular, tend to have bloated prices in the first few weeks of their introduction due to low supply and high demand.
That’s why having a Nekros warframe to farm these mods easily is a huge benefit. Do a bit of research whenever a new rare/uncommon mod gets introduced as to which enemies drop them and keep killing them until the mod appears. Players can get by using any other warframe and try their luck with said mods but the chances are too low without assistance from Nekros.
17 Buy Some With Real Currency
This definitely isn’t the go-to choice for those looking to keep their hard-earned cash to themselves but it is important to note that purchasing Platinum can be a lucrative way to gain large amounts of it for those that don’t mind tossing a few bucks to the developers.

Those that do plan on grabbing some Platinum in exchange for real-world cash would definitely benefit from waiting until a periodic sale. There are times when Warframe Platinum exchange rates can drop and the premium currency will go “on sale” for a limited time via the login rewards. Those that wait for these moments will receive a nice discount.
16 Enter And Place In A Contest
This definitely isn’t the most “farmable” tactic and it is important to note that players will only receive Platinum as a reward if they manage to place in a given contest but it’s definitely a route that players can go if they’re looking for something fun to do.
Warframe’s developers run a lot of contests and entering them is a great way to engage with the community and break up the monotony of endless farming. All of this is capped off by the possibility that players may win some Platinum for their time and effort. It’s worth entering as many contests as possible because players never know when they might submit a winning entry.
15 Ayatan Sculpture Merchant
Ayatan Sculptures are also good resources that allow players to obtain Platinum. They’re also necessary for leveling up mods so they’re in demand. Some are also just for ornamental purposes. The cheapest ones can go for 2 to 5 Platinum depending on who’s buying.
RELATED: Warframe: Best Launchers, Ranked
Getting Ayatan Sculptures is easy too. Simply listening to Maroo from Mars and accepting her Ayatan missions ought to grant some easy rewards or Platinum if players are selling them. Otherwise, finishing some rotations in Arbitration missions or Sorties is also a good source.
14 Lua Lens Merchant
Lenses in Warframe allow players to grind out their Focus faster so they can obtain their Operator abilities. It’s now recommended to complete all the Focus schools and that requires a lot of grinding and lenses to shorten the said grind. Lua lenses, for that matter, are the best for such an activity.
They can fetch a hefty sum in the warframe market especially if they’re Zenurik or Madurai lenses. Players can easily obtain these lenses in Rotation C of the Lua Disruption missions, which means keeping three to four Conduits alive by killing the Demolyst units.
13 Requiem Mod Merchant
Kuva Liches and Tenet Sisters are some of the most regular endgame activities that players keep doing and as such, there’s a market around them. A lot of players will need their specific Requiem Mods to defeat their Lich/Sister because farming relies too much on luck.

So those who have a healthy supply of unused Requiem Mods can sell them. These sell for quite a considerable amount on third-party warframe market websites or in the in-game trade chat. And since there’s no shortage of players running Kuva Liches/Tenet Sisters, the demand is always there.
12 Selling Prime Parts
Prime parts are by far the most consistent way to earn a stream of Platinum. Players don’t even have to invest in anything when selling them, just cracking open some accumulated relics will do. Players also don’t even need to aim for rare or expensive Prime parts though they can also sell those for higher prices.
The thing is, a lot of players will readily pay around 5 to 10 Platinum for five “junk” or low-value Prime parts. That’s because these Prime parts can be liquidated into Ducats— another currency players can use for purchasing Baro Ki’teer’s items. Junk Prime parts usually sell the highest when Baro is right around the corner, so it pays better to wait for him.
11 Relic Merchant
Then again, players can always skip the prime parts and sell the Relics straight away like they’re some raw uncooked nuts. Each Relic has a different price because they offer different rewards but be on the lookout for those that drop any featured or new Prime part.

A lot of players will also be on the lookout for those relics especially those who are farming the latest prime warframe or weapon. Axi relics are usually the most expensive ones to sell and in order to obtain them, players just need to keep high-level missions to earn them. This could change in future updates.
10 Selling Corrupted Mods
Orokin Vault runs have always been a reliable way to make Platinum since the rewards they drop, Corrupted mods, are necessary for endgame warframe and weapon builds. Hence, players are always willing to pay for such mods, more so for the ranked ones.

In order to do Orokin Vault runs, players can team up in the Recruitment Chat and equip a Dragon Key. Players can go about it solo but these vaults are hidden and having three other people to search for them shortens the mission time. After collecting some Corrupted mods, it’s time to sell the duplicates.
9 Dual Stat Mod Farmer
Much like corrupted mods, dual-stat mods in Warframe are valuable because they allow players to save some mod slots in their weapons. Some of these dual-stat mods even sell higher than the best Corrupted mod so they’re more lucrative to farm.
Acquiring them is a problem though since dual-stat mods rely on drop rates and are not guaranteed rewards, unlike Corrupted mods. The best way to get them without paying is to keep doing tier 1, 2, and 3 Spy missions for frost and heat elements. Toxic element dual-stat mods drop from Corrupted Vor in the Void and electric dual-stat mods are sold by Baro, making them the rarest and most expensive.
8 Farming And Selling Nightmare Mods
Nightmare Mods are a classification of rare Dual Stat mods that can be highly sought after due to their stacking nature. While they aren’t as “strong” as single-mod components, the ability to stack them with other mods allows players to reach higher damage thresholds and even unlock new playstyles and builds.

Farming for Nightmare mods can be a healthy way to make some Platinum, especially if players get lucky enough to snag the “right ones.” Just like anything else, some Nightmare Mods are more valuable than others so it’s important to know which ones to keep an eye out for when attempting a farm like this. Nightmare missions are readily available.
7 Kuva Lich/Tenet Sister Trader
The warframe community jokingly calls this one “slave trading” since they’re practically trading people (albeit evil enemies). Players can simply acquire a Kuva Lich or a Tenet Sister in Cassini, Saturn or Hydra, or Pluto and if they’re lucky, they might get a Kuva or a Tenet weapon with a 59 or 60 percent damage bonus along with an Ephemera.
In such cases, players are advised to trade the Kuva Lich/Tenet Sister mission using their Clan Dojo’s Crimson Branchroom as long as the recipient has no active Lich/Sister. Good Liches or Sisters (such as the examples mentioned above) can fetch hundreds of Platinum. Players will sadly have to complete the Lich/Sister and repeat the process if they get a poor weapon bonus with no Ephemera.
6 Syndicate Standing Grinder
Turns out players can make Platinum in Warframe even if it doesn’t cross their minds. Even something as natural as leveling up Syndicate standings is enough to make some Platinum sales here and there. Pick a Syndicate among Steel Meridian, Cephalon Suda, Arbiters of Hexis, The Perrin Sequence, New Loka, and Red Veil then commit to them.

Earn a high enough standing and they will practically grant some Syndicate-exclusive mods or weapons for free. These can then be traded with other players for Platinum, especially those who picked the wrong Syndicate or can’t be bothered to raise their standing.
5 Flipping Baro Ki’teer’s Items
One of the most regular Platinum-making methods available to players is flipping some items in Baro Ki’teer’s shop. Baro only comes around twice every month and on occasion, will offer some electric dual-stat mods which are worth quite a lot of Platinum. Apart from that, he also sells unique tradeable weapons.
The main commodity players can sell from Baro’s offerings are the Prime mods. Even at unranked, these can sell for two-digit Platinum prices. Rank them up with spare Endo and they can be sold for hundreds. After that, players can finally buy their own Prime bling so Baro will stop snubbing them.
4 Prime Vault Flipping
This one requires considerable foresight and restraint. There’s this thing in Warframe where rare items are made even rarer by cutting them off from the reward table. This is called the Prime Vault and it’s a rotating reward availability system.
Players can take advantage of this by researching which prime parts are about to get “vaulted” or erased from loot tables and then hoard them all while they’re still available until the price gets higher. That will eventually happen if and when they get vaulted. By then, players can sell them at inflated Platinum price tags since the supply is low.
3 Aya Liquidation
Speaking of Vaulted Primes, Warframe did introduce a way to get them through the Prime Resurgence feature. These are limited stores where players can purchase two Vaulted warframes using a premium currency called Regal Aya or purchase the Vaulted Relics that drop these Vaulted warframe parts for a farmable currency called Aya. Varzia in Maroo’s Bazaar on Mars runs the shop.

That’s where the profit part comes in. Players can actually obtain Aya easily by opening Relic Packs in the Syndicate Offering menu or by doing Bounty missions. So, this method goes hand in hand with grinding out Syndicate standing. Once players have accumulated enough regular Aya, they can purchase the Vaulted Relics with Aya and then run them themselves for the Vaulted Prime parts or sell the Relics for Platinum. It’s pretty consistent.
2 Selling/Flipping Riven Mods
Another thing players can farm that sells for quite a hefty sum is Riven mods. Players can sell either veiled Riven mods for some small gains or auction out an unveiled one with killer stats and sell to the highest bidder. That’s what’s happening right now in Warframe’s Riven market.
In fact, if players want some risky investments, they can buy unveiled Riven mods themselves and then reveal them or re-roll their stats with Kuva to increase their value. For consistency, this does require considerable effort and some top tanky or DPS warframes as well as some patience for Sortie missions.
1 Arcane Farmer
If players want something that’s semi-consistent but still involves plenty of fun gameplay, then farming and selling Arcanes is the way. The most in-demand ones, such as Arcane Grace and Arcane Energize can be acquired from Eidolons on Earth or Orphix Veil Railjack missions.
Even if players don’t get the most in-demand Arcanes, they can still sell them if they complete enough sets. Other sources of these in-demand Arcanes are Steel Path Acolytes, Zariman standing, and even factions from Earth, Venus, and Deimos. Complete Arcane sets that are in demand often go for hundreds of Platinum.
