However, retailers are doing all they realistically can to make sure they have enough stock to feasibly sell to every consumer who has pre-ordered a console. Now, Walmart is letting fans know a bit ahead of time that stores will be selling the Xbox Series X and S online today at 12 PM EST.

Walmart’s official Twitter account tweeted out a link to a store countdown counter that will let players know when sales for the two consoles will go live. At the time of writing, it seems the Xbox Series X and S will be available for online purchase at Walmart at 12 PM EST. That’s 11 AM CST, 10 AM MST, and 9 AM PST depending on where readers live in North America. Of course, Walmart isn’t the only store attempting to sell consoles on launch day, as online retailer Newegg will have sales on launch day for both next-generation consoles as well.

Walmart’s sales window for Xbox Series X and S on launch day seems tight to say the least. Readers are going to absolutely want to free up some time and camp the webpage when the counter drops to zero to have the best bet at securing a console. Unfortunately, it seems like this will be a first come first serve situation instead of ordering and picking up a console by appointment as other retailers like Best Buy did ahead of launch day. It also seems like Xbox Series X and S pre-orders will be based on local stores in the area, so some may have more luck than others.

Ordering next-generation consoles on launch day is a tricky game. It involves a lot of luck and a healthy amount of dedication and patience. Camping a website may not be a very fun experience, but it’s the most sure-fire way to make sure readers get a console on launch day. The Xbox Series X’s launch lineup is impressive and the hardware looks incredibly solid, so players going with Microsoft are surely in for a good time.
